Sept 6: Voter ID and Continuing the Labor Movement with the Rev. Jon Stratton

14184577_1057750534293440_4285686584971221731_nOn the day after Labor Day, The Rev. Jon Stratton, rector of Trinity and a board member for Missouri Jobs with Justice will join us to talk about faith based advocacy against proposed “Voter ID” laws on the ballot this November in Missouri. These laws would require anyone exercising their right to vote to present a photo identification. Jon will talk about how this could disenfranchise many eligible voters. He’ll also talk about the continuing work in Missouri by faith based groups for fair wages, benefits and safe working environments.

Theology on Tap seeks to create a “low pressure” environment for conversations about faith, ethics, politics, and life today.  Join us and bring friends.

Theology on Tap meets upstairs at Dressel’s Pub at 6:30pm on the First Tuesday of each month. Click for a map
